The Cisco 7960 IP Phone has a high quality, duplex, hands-free speakerphone as well as a 3-way conference call capability. As well as the standard date & time features, call display and the use of XML for useful and simple feature integration, the Cisco 7960 also has 6 programmable buttons for speed dial or highly used feature shortcuts.

This phone also has voice mail and other call features such as: call waiting, call hold, call transfer and call forwarding. It includes Comfort Noise Generation (CNG) and Voice Activity Detection (VAD) for maximum quality audio and multiple VoIP protocol support which has a integrated Ethernet switch across platforms such as Session Initiated Protocol (SIP), Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP) and Cisco's CallManager Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP).
